Our students are entrepreneurs and leaders in Agri-business, Renewable Energy, Paleontology and Creative Arts and much more. We have the largest foundry in the Southwest for iron and bronze. Digital arts are utilized in 3-D printers and pioneering software for real-world applications.
Mesalands Community College can be a hands-on learning experience where adventure, fun, and mystery may meet at every turn. Paleontology students begin digging for fossils and pre-historic bones on private dig sites in their first year. Finds are displayed in our renowned Mesalands Community College Dinosaur Museum on historic Route 66 and enjoyed by the community and visitors from all over the world. These finds are changing how the world understands ancient species and history and a great place to bring the family and visit our gift shop.
We couldn’t be more proud of our Southwestern culture and the academic programs that support it. Our Agri-business specializes in artificial insemination, breeding, and livestock management. Students learn how to provide their products direct to the consumer. The Farrier Sciences partner in Equestrian studies and horsemanship by utilizing Mustangs with the National Forest Service. Students learn first-hand through our partnerships with the community, local ranches, and government management.
