Sophomore Devyn Sisneros from Santa Rosa, NM  did find a way to overcome these obstacles, winning three reserve championship titles last weekend. He finished second in the team roping (heeler) event with a time of 6.5, with former Mesalands Rodeo team member, Betty Pack (header), who now competes for Adams State University. Sisneros also took second in saddle bronc riding with a score of 73 points. With his strong performance, Sisneros came in second in the Men’s All-Around with a total of 252 points.

Sophomore Jake Carr from Saratoga Springs, NY also represented the rough stock competitors well last weekend. He was only one of two student athletes that had a qualified ride in the bull riding event.  Carr took second with 68 points.
