September 8, 2022 – The Mesalands Gamers Guild hosted it’s first meeting of the semester in the Digital Media Lab/ Esports Arena from 5pm to 8pm. The Guild is an organization that brings people together through their love of video games, table tops and card games. It is sponsored by the Mesalands Art Department and is open to students, faculty, and staff!

The Gamer’s Guild was started up in 2016 and has hosted tournaments and participated in community events over the years. “Our goal is to pass on the passion of gaming and keep everyone engaged!” said Club President, Jeramiah Martinez. He has been with the Guild since 2018 and has seen gaming become more prevalent at Mesalands College with the inception of Esports this fall.

There is a variety of consoles available to play at the Gamers Guild, including Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, and even a Retro Game System.
