Summer Adventure Camp Boasts Great Success!

Stampede Esports Gaming Arena

Mesalands Community College hosted Summer Adventure Camp for two weeks. Children between the ages of four and seventeen were able to study and participate in dance, guitar, art, and interact in physical activities such as dodgeball, Nerf Wars, tag, an obstacle maize, and disc golf. Gamers were able to put their skills to the test and train with Esports coaches for two weeks in the Stampede Gaming Arena.

Esports Training and Practice

The return of Summer Adventure camp was highly anticipated after its hiatus following the pandemic. The two weeks of courses were completely filled and provided local students exciting opportunities to learn and play this summer.

Each morning the kids were met with fun and games filled with outdoor activities.  The day continued with various physical options, the hands down favorite, the Nerf War finale. Kids were also able to learn guitar and ballet. The arts and crafts camp taught paper mache, among many other crafts.

Mesalands Community College was able to  provide a STEM camp in partnership with TRIO Talent Search from Eastern New Mexico University during the second week.

Mesalands would like to thank each family that allowed their children to participate in our Summer Adventure Camp 2023.  We look forward to next summer with a bigger camp filled with more adventure!
