Mesalands Community College will be offering a course in Artistic Silversmithing this semester in Portales, NM. This three-credit hour course is entitled Artistic Silversmithing-Engraving I (ART 108/FAS 108) and will be instructed by Eddy Mardis, Mesalands Faculty. This course is designed for introductory-level engraving on precious and non-precious metals. Students will learn the theory and practice of hand and power assisted engraving on spurs, jewelry, and buckles.
