COVID-19 Reopening Rules and Steps to Use the Gym
- All Members must Self-Screen:
- Have you been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19?
- Are you experiencing a cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat?
- Have you had a fever in the last 48 hours?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, STAY HOME.
Strongly consider not using the facility
if you are at an increased risk for COVID-19 complications
(persons over age 60 orwith underlying medical conditions).
- Reactivate your membership card by appointment only at the Business Office in A211 prior to using the Fitness Center. Call the Business Office at 575.461.4413 x110 from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday to schedule an appointment.
The Fitness Center was closed for 73 days (March 19th – June 1st), so we will extend the end date of a member’s card for up to that number of days. We will also be pro-rating their payment for the first month that the new expiration date falls within.
Example: Student’s membership expired on March 31, 2020, that was only 12 days of activity left on their account. If they call on June 2nd, then we are going to say that they are paid through June 14th. If they want the rest of June, they will have to pay for 16 days, then July is back to the $25.00 per month.
A student that has been a member before, but was not current in March, we will make an exception to the pro-rating rule for this situation.
