The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) may be completed online at www.studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa. Mesalands Community College’s school code is 032063. This number must be entered on the FAFSA for the College to automatically receive a copy of the processed information.
The FAFSA is used to determine eligibility for students for all federal student aid including the Federal Pell Grant, Federal Direct Loans, the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG) and Federal Work-study.
The College uses the information from the FAFSA to help determine eligibility for some State of New Mexico aid programs including the State Student Incentive Grant, College Affordability, and State Work-Study. Students must be a New Mexico resident to be eligible.
Mesalands Community College priority deadline is March 31 for fall semester and October 31 for spring semester. By completing the FAFSA by the priority deadline students may be eligible for more financial aid monies awarded on a first come, first served basis.
