Students who complete their financial aid files by March 31 will be considered for the maximum available funds. Students who complete their applications late will be awarded based on the availability of funds.
Step 1: Create a Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID: Username & Password
Each student and one (1) parent (for dependent students) must create a Federal Student Aid (FSA) Username and Password. This serves as a student and parents electronic signature on the FAFSA application.
It is important to keep this information in a safe place. Students and parents, will use this FSA Username and Password as long as they are attending college. Parents will use the same FSA Username and password for all of their children, you will not need to make a new one.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is completed online at www.studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa. The FAFSA determines the student’s eligibility for Federal Financial Aid including Federal Pell Grant; Federal Direct Loans; Federal Supplemental Equal Opportunity Grant; Federal Work Study and State of New Mexico grants.
