Mesalands Community College would like to invite the community to a New Mexico FAFSA Workshop, that provides New Mexico’s college students with free professional assistance completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
The FAFSA is the form that colleges, universities, and vocational schools use to determine a student’s complete financial aid package, which can include grants, scholarships, work-study awards, and federal loan assistance. Attendees to the event are asked to bring their 2014 IRS 1040 Tax Returns, W-2 Forms, and any other 2014 income benefits information.
Information regarding scholarship opportunities available at Mesalands Community College will also be provided during the event. Attendees will receive assistance in completing the scholarship application for Mesalands, that will be used to consider individuals for all scholarships they may be eligible for in a given academic year. Individuals that complete their financial aid files by March 31, including the Mesalands scholarship application and the FAFSA, will be considered for the maximum available funds.
The last New Mexico FAFSA Workshops will be held in Room A114 on Thursday, March 12, 2015, 6:00 pm-8:00 pm.
