Communication

The Communications option provides opportunities for students to explore interests and develop proficiencies in general communications, writing, computer use, and publishing software while gaining a background in liberal arts studies. Graduates of the program will have completed coursework that explores a variety of academic disciplines. Students intending to use the Communications option as a basis for transfer should make certain that their course selection meets the requirements of the applicable degree at the college to which they plan to transfer.

University Studies

The University Studies option provides opportunities for students to explore studies in areas of student interest while developing proficiencies in the liberal arts and selected areas of interest. Graduates of the program will have completed coursework that explores a variety of academic disciplines. Students intending to use the University Studies option as a basis for transfer should make certain that their course selection meets the requirements of the applicable degree at the college to which they plan to transfer.

Liberal Arts Certificate

The Liberal Arts Certificate program is designed to provide students the opportunity to explore areas of interest in the liberal arts. Graduates of the program will have completed coursework that explores a variety of academic disciplines. Students must choose one or more courses from each area of study for a total of 21-23 credit hours. Students intending to use the Liberal Arts Certificate option as a basis for transfer should make certain that their course selections meet the requirements of the applicable degree at the college to which they plan to transfer.

Technical and Professional Writing Certificate

The Certificate in Technical and Professional Writing focuses on the production of real grants, professional portfolios, and document design projects Upon completion of the one-year certificate, students may choose to work from home or pursue a two-year degree that could lead to a position in management. This is a project-based certificate designed to give the learner real experience in technical and professional communication.
