Mesalands is pleased to announce that Gregg Howard, English and Communication Faculty, was a finalist for the 2015 Ernest Hemingway Flash Fiction Competition. Howard submitted his story entitled “A Guide to Dating Mexican Guys by Esmeralda ‘Trudy’ Valenzuela, Age 17.” His story will be published in Fiction Southeast, an online journal dedicated to short fiction. The mission of Fiction Southeast is to showcase short fiction from today’s most promising writers and to provide a wealth of online resources that writers can utilize to perfect their craft.
