TUCUMCARI, NM – The North American Wind Research and Training Center at Mesalands Community College provides dynamic, hands-on training in the growing field of wind energy.
In our state-of-the-art facilities, Wind Energy Technology students at Mesalands Community College obtain real-world training experience. Students conduct troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on the College’s 1.5 megawatt wind turbine, under the direction of instructors with field experience as wind technicians.
Mesalands Community College offers the following wind energy degrees and certificates:
- Two-Year Associate of Applied Science Degree in Wind Energy Technology
- One-Year Applied Science Certificate in Wind Energy Technology
- One Semester Occupational Certificate in Basic Wind Energy Technology (option to complete during the summer semester)
