The Mesalands Community College’s Rodeo Team had a strong start to the spring season at Central Arizona College in Casa Grande, AZ. Student athletes in the rough stock events stole the show. They brought home three championship titles in bull riding and another in bareback riding.
“These were the best rodeos we’ve had in a long time,” said Matt Hughes, Intercollegiate Rodeo Coach and Faculty Member at Mesalands Community College. “The entire team was excited to compete and they felt prepared for these rodeos. They wanted to win and they did!”
Coach Hughes also stated that the Mesalands Rodeo Team currently holds the top four spots in bull riding for the Grand Canyon Region.
