As an ongoing commitment to the health and safety of the staff, faculty, and students of Mesalands Community College a recent environmental scan was conducted of the campus by a top-notch health consulting firm. The campus was scanned for microbes, bacteria, and a wide range of environmental hazards.
Mesalands was pleased to announce limited areas were affected. Sterilization of those areas was conducted over the weekend of October 15th and concluded on Tuesday October 18th.
Results of the environmental scan were reported to the Board of Trustees with potential actions, due to the required construction following the sterilization process. Construction to the restrooms would improve accessibility and update efficiency. Two pairs of restrooms were to be available for use during construction, until completion.
The executive staff met the day following the Board of Trustees meeting and concluded construction would not impede classes for the semester. It was also determined two pairs of bathrooms were working and available for use.
Building A is currently open to all and environmentally safe. The eradication of any and all microbes was completed Tuesday (October 18). All buildings have been certified free of any environmental concerns.
