Students earn academic honors at Mesalands Community College

PRESIDENT’S CITATION

At the end of each spring semester, the President’s Citation is announced as official recognition of exceptional academic achievement at Mesalands Community College. To be eligible, students must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 or better, successfully complete 30 or more credits in the fall and spring semesters, have no grade below a “C” in the given year and have no outstanding incomplete grades for the given year.

VICE PRESIDENT’S LIST

The Vice President’s List is announced as official recognition of outstanding academic accomplishments. To qualify, students must maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or better for courses taken at Mesalands Community College, successfully complete 15 or more credit hours, have no grade below a “C” for the given semester, and have no outstanding incomplete grades for the academic year.

PHI THETA KAPPA INTERNATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

The Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) International Honor Society is based on academic achievement and offers personal development through scholarship, service, fellowship, and leadership. Each candidate for membership in PTK must have completed 12 credit hours that may lead to a declared associate’s degree, with a grade point average (GPA) of a 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, currently enrolled in six credit hours, and adhere to the school code. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 must be maintained to remain in good standing.
