June 10, 2021 – Mesalands Community College Board of Trustees held a special session today. The purpose of this meeting was for the President to present the proposed matrix model for the College and provide training for the members of the board on student success initiatives with the goal of improving student success and student access.
Following the executive session, President Dr. Gregg Busch presented a need for a comprehensive and equitable compensation review and analysis to determine if an increase in conjunction with a redesigned matrix plan will be necessary. Dr. Busch requested the board join in conducting the review over the next semester. The purpose of this review will be to determine issues of pay equity for all employees, Faculty and Staff, to ensure that they are being properly compensated. Upon President Busch’s recommendation. the board made a motion and approved unanimously to explore the compensation review and the implementation of student success and access initiatives for the benefit of our students and community.
Dr. Busch is committed to a fair and equitable work place and appropriate compensation for faculty and staff and will look at education, experience and multiple areas over the next few months.
