June 18, 2021 – Mesalands Community College is excited to announce 100% funding through the New Mexico Lottery Scholarship for the 2021-2022 Financial Aid Award Year. The last six years has seen reductions in coverage due to fund availability.

“Pursuing higher education can be transformational for individuals and communities across generations, but for too many students, financial barriers make a college degree beyond reach. New Mexico was the first state to provide tuition-free college to its citizens and continues to expand tuition promise programs to benefit even more students,” Governor Lujan Grisham said. “I look forward to collaborating with fellow leaders to explore how we can make free college a reality for all students.”

To be eligible for the NM Lottery Scholarship a student must meet the following:

• New Mexico resident
• Graduated from a New Mexico high school, GED testing facility or certified homeschool program within 16 months of starting attendance at a NM college or university.
• Meet qualifying semester requirements of completing 12 credit hours with a 2.5 G.PA. or higher
