Mesalands offers spring community education classes

Mesalands Community College will begin their spring community education classes in February.
A new schedule of classes will be offered each month.

For February, Mesalands Community College will be offering a Valentine’s Holiday Décor crafting class on Saturday, February 2 from 10 am-12 pm, in preparation for Valentine’s Day. Cost is $10 plus a $5 supply fee (payable to the instructor the day of the class).

Learn how to loom in the Basic Loom Knitting 101 class on Mondays, February 4 through February 25, 6-7 pm. Cost is $10, plus a $10 supply fee (payable to the instructor the day of the class).

Members of the community can increase their knowledge of the Gospels in the
Bible Study: Connecting the Dots class on Tuesdays, February 5 and 19, 7-8 pm. This is a non-denominational Bible study that will focus on the New Testament. There is no cost for this class.

New computer users, can learn the basics in the “How Do I Turn This Thing On?” class on
Tuesday, February 12 and Thursday, February 14, 10 am-11 am. Cost is $10.

Community members that are interested in earning their High School Equivalency (HSE), formally known as GED®, diploma are encouraged to attend the HSE Orientation on Tuesday,
February 12, 6-7 pm. There is no cost for this orientation.

In the Ancient Chinese Secret cooking class on Monday, February 18, 6-7:30 pm, participants will prepare favorite Chinese dishes, including stir fry, egg drop soup and fried rice. Cost is $10, plus a $5 supply fee (payable to the instructor the day of the class).
