Mesalands Community College recently signed an agreement with Pearson VUE, the computer-based testing (CBT) business of Pearson, to test individuals pursuing key industry certifications from leading information technology programs, such as Cisco, CompTIA, EMC, HP, LPI, Oracle, and VMware. This new partnership also opens up new opportunities for individuals pursuing their General Education Development (GED®). Pearson VUE believes testing and certification is at the heart of the learning experience, and Mesalands will play its part by offering accessible and secure testing to the community.

“We’re very excited about our new partnership with Pearson VUE,” said Dr. Thomas W. Newsom, President of Mesalands. “The Pearson VUE Testing System is the most powerful available and allows us to provide another service to our community that may have a positive impact on economic development.”

With the new testing center, Mesalands will now be able to test more individuals at once taking the GED® exam. The exams will be administered more often and students will receive their scores automatically after completing the exam. Individuals will also be able to register and reschedule their tests online, or through the Pearson VUE call center. Other exams regarding, construction trades, employment/human resources, financial services, government/state regulated, health, insurance, legal services, and real estate, will be offered at the Pearson VUE-Authorized Test Center at Mesalands.
