Mesalands Community College is pleased to announce that the Spring 2016 Community Education classes will begin this month. There are a variety of classes offered, including those to prepare community members for future employment.

Mesalands recently added a new Career Services Center that provides the following services for students: assistance with career guidance, résumé and cover letter critiques, job search strategies, interview preparations and career expos, etc. This semester community members can take advantage of this service and learn the steps to creating an effective résumé (Résumé Writing – April 25), discover new career opportunities (Career Exploration – April 26), and learn how to positively present oneself at a job interview (Interview Preparation – April 27). These classes are free of charge.

Other Spring Community Education classes include, unlocking one’s creativity and unique narrative voice (Creating Writing Workshop – on-going enrollment). There is no charge for this class. Community members may also study herbs and their natural healing properties to create herbal tinctures (Traditional Herbal Medicine-Remedios Naturals – April 26 and April 28). The cost of this class is $30. Lastly, enter the exciting world of robotics and build robotic devices in a fun and rewarding way (Robotics Club – on-going enrollment). Participants will be required to pay club dues of $15 per semester.
