Fine Arts Department participates in “Art in the Park” event

The Fine Arts Department at Mesalands Community College recently helped with the “Art in the Park” event, sponsored by Tucumcari MainStreet. This event was held downtown at Sands Dorsey Park and the Historic Princess Theater.

During the event, some attendees had their hands dipped in wax for a future outdoor sculpture for Sands Dorsey Park. Artwork created by students and faculty in the Fine Arts Department was also on display in the park. The Fine Arts Department also installed their artwork at the Historic Princess Theater.
