Stampede Week

Mesalands Community College has scheduled a full-week of fun activities for Stampede Week, October 8-13, 2018 to celebrate the Mesalands Rodeo Team and the 11th Annual Mesalands Community College Fall Intercollegiate Rodeo.

The following activities have been scheduled for Stampede Week:

Monday, October 8 – Branding Day

  • Wear Mesalands attire all day.
  • Join us for a group picture at 4 pm in the Commons Area, located in Building A. Prizes given to the most spirited students.
  • Save 10% on apparel at the Mesalands Bookstore. The College Bookstore is located in Building G.

Tuesday, October 9 – Stampede Bowling Night

  • 6:00-8:00 pm – Mountain View Bowling Alley – 515 South Lake Street
  • Cheeseburger/Hamburger Baskets available for $10

Wednesday, October 10 – Family Feud Showdown

  • 1:30-3:00 pm – Great Room
  • Meet the Mesalands Rodeo Team, as they “feud” with the other students.
  • Join us for snacks, sodas, and fun!

Thursday, October 11 – Movie Night

  • 7:00 pm – Odeon Theatre – 123 South 2nd Street
  • Free admission for Mesalands students, faculty and staff.  Must show college I.D.’s.

Friday, October 12 – Mesalands 11th Annual Fall Rodeo

  • 6:00 pm – Rodeo Performance – Quay County Rodeo Arena
  • Tickets: $5.00, seniors 55 and over  $2.00, children under 12 are free
    (accompanied by a paying adult)

National Fossil Day

  • 12:00-5:00 pm (no cost for admission)
  • Mesalands Community College’s Dinosaur Museum and Natural Sciences Laboratory
  • The Dinosaur Museum is located at 222 Laughlin Avenue

Saturday, October 13 – Mesalands 11th Annual Fall Rodeo

  • 9:00 am – Slack (no cost for admission) – Quay County Rodeo Arena
  • 6:00 pm – Championship Performance – Quay County Rodeo Arena
  • Tickets: $5.00, seniors 55 and over  $2.00, children under 12 are free
    (accompanied by a paying adult)

National Fossil Day

  • 12:00-5:00 pm (no cost for admission)
