Field research conducted by students enrolled in the College’s natural sciences classes has to date, unearthed three previously unknown life species from our own Quay County. The county is home to one of the Earth’s great fossil beds.
All fossils found on course field trips are sorted and prepped in the Museum’s laboratory. The viewing area in our exhibit hall allows visitors to witness the discoveries.
Field classes of one week’s duration are offered to the public every summer. Classes may be customized for special interest groups. Information on these courses may be found below, or by contacting the Museum directly.
