Students at Mesalands Community College who are 18 years of age or older, and who are interested in taking individual courses for the purposes of professional development or personal enrichment, are considered non-degree students. Non-degree students are not required to provide proof of high school graduation or college transcripts.
Non-degree students are not pursuing a certificate or a degree from the College and will not be eligible for Federal Financial Aid programs. Credits earned during the student’s non-degree status, may later be applied to a plan of study when the student becomes degree seeking.
Students who plan to pursue a certificate or a degree are strongly encouraged to apply for admissions as a degree-seeking student.
