1. Submit an online admissions application.
2. Submit official transcripts.
Official high school or high school equivalency transcripts confirming high school graduation are to be sent directly to the College.
Students who have attended another college or university will need to have an official transcript from each institution sent directly to the College.
2. Complete the Success/Assessment Placement Test.
Contact the Mesalands Community College Educational Services Center at (575) 461-4413 to arrange to take the Success/Assessment Placement Test. Students may also take the ACT COMPASS Test at another test center.
Have your test scores evaluated for admission to the Wind Energy Technology Program in the student services department. The math score must establish eligibility to enroll in MATH 101 or MATH 108, or in the freshman year the student must take and pass MATH 100. The English score must establish eligibility to enroll in ENG 102, or in the freshman year the student must take and pass ENG-100. If your test scores meet admission requirements proceed to enroll in courses.
3. Complete all required pre-collegiate courses as prescribed by the ACCUPLACER exam with a grade of C or higher.
4. Complete required physical exam.
5. Register for classes.
6. Apply for Financial Aid
Federal Financial Aid is available to students who meet the eligibility requirements. A Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be completed at www.fafsa.ed.gov, and the federal school code for Mesalands Community College is 032063.
Students are also encouraged to complete an application for the Mesalands Community College’s Foundation, Inc. scholarships.
