December 4, 2017

Mesalands Community College student David Dodd (bottom left) presented his research poster to attendees at the 2017 New Mexico Academy of Science Research Symposium in Albuquerque, NM last month. Dodd’s research was in regards to liquefied natural gas for locomotives.

The conference was open to the public and focused on water, energy, and the environment.

Last week, Mesalands student Eva Sawyer attended the Community College Undergraduate Research Initiative Fall 2017 Colloquium in Austin, TX. During the poster session, Sawyer presented her research on saber-toothed cats.

The colloquium provides community college students who are conducting undergraduate research, the opportunity to share research, develop professional skills, and network with other students.
