Mesalands gears up for Spring Rodeo Weekend activities

April 11, 2016

The Mesalands Community College Spring Rodeo Weekend will begin with “Stampede Fiesta” on Thursday, April 21 from 5:30-8:30 pm at the North American Wind Research and Training Center. The celebration will continue with the Mesalands Community College Grand Canyon Region Intercollegiate Spring Rodeo on Friday, April 22 and Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Quay County Rodeo Arena.

“We want to protect our home court advantage. It’s very rewarding and very fulfilling to win any rodeo, but to win your home rodeo is even more so,” said Tim Abbott, Mesalands Intercollege Rodeo Coach. “We’ve had success at every single rodeo this semester. The challenge for us has been consistency. Hopefully, we’re ready for that strong team-wide performance at our home rodeo.”
