Mesalands celebrates Native American Heritage Day

Native 2 The Native American Club at Mesalands Community planned an entire day of activities, in honor of Native American Heritage Day. The members of the Native American Club prepared Indian Tacos for students, staff, and faculty to enjoy. Over 150 people attended the special presentation given by Navajo Code Talker, Mr. Thomas Begay. The evening ended with the showing of the movie the “Windtalkers” at the Odeon Theater. Everyone was also encouraged to wear their moccasins and turquoise all day.
