Mesalands Community College has scheduled a full-week of fun activities for Stampede Week, October 7-12, 2019 to celebrate the Mesalands Rodeo Team and the 12th Annual Mesalands Community College Fall Intercollegiate Rodeo.
The following activities have been scheduled for Stampede Week:
Monday, October 7 – Branding Day & Raffle
- 4:00 pm – Group Picture – Commons Area
- Wear Mesalands attire all day.
- Save 10% on apparel at the Mesalands Bookstore. The College Bookstore is located in Building G.
- Bucking Board Raffle – Winners will be drawn at 4 pm in the Commons. This event is sponsored by the Student Ambassadors.
Tuesday, October 8 – Stampede Bowling Night
- 6:00-8:00 pm – Mountain View Bowling Alley – 515 South Lake Street
- Free admission for Mesalands students, faculty, and staff. Must show College ID.
- Free Drinks and Burger Baskets!!
Wednesday, October 9 – Family Feud Showdown
- 1:30-3:00 pm – A223/A224
- Meet the Mesalands Rodeo Team, as they “feud” with the other students.
- Join us for snacks, sodas, and fun!
Thursday, October 10 – Movie Night
- 7:00 pm – Odeon Theatre – 123 South 2nd Street
- Free admission for Mesalands students, faculty and staff. Must show college I.D.’s.
Friday, October 11 – Mesalands 12th Annual Fall Rodeo
- 6:00 pm – Rodeo Performance – Quay County Rodeo Arena
- Tickets: $5.00, seniors 55 and over $2.00, children under 12 are free
(accompanied by a paying adult)
Saturday, October 12 – Mesalands 12th Annual Fall Rodeo
- 9:00 am – Slack (no cost for admission) – Quay County Rodeo Arena
- 6:00 pm – Championship Performance – Quay County Rodeo Arena
- Tickets: $5.00, seniors 55 and over $2.00, children under 12 are free
(accompanied by a paying adult)
Fossil Day Festival
- 12:00-5:00 pm (no cost for admission)
- Mesalands Community College’s Dinosaur Museum and Natural Sciences Laboratory
- The Dinosaur Museum is located at 222 Laughlin Avenue
- Paleontology Demonstrations, Fossil Digs, Food Trucks, Shopping
