Mesalands Community College will host the 25th Annual New Mexico Mathematical Association for Two-Year Colleges Conference (NMMATYC) on May 23-24, 2014.
The keynote banquet speaker is Ron Larson, who is a noted mathematics educator and prolific textbook author. Ron will be talking about a topic of much interest to all of us at the conference: “60 Years of Reform in Mathematics Education.” This presentation traces the various philosophies of teaching mathematics in the United States from 1950 through the present.
