Health and Physical Education (HPE) Credit Courses

HPE credit courses are offered each semester and include:

  • Cardio Kickboxing
  • Pilates-Style Mat Training
  • Body Sculpting
  • Circuit Training
  • Weight Training for Women
  • Fitness for Older Adults
  • Boxing Conditioning
  • Piloxing ©
  • Zumba ©
  • Fitness Yoga

Individuals who would like the assistance of a personal fitness trainer are encouraged to register for one of the following courses :

  • HPE 123: Personal Training Assessment
  • HPE 136: MCC Health and Fat Loss Challenge
  • HPE 180: Quick Start Fitness Program

Both courses are taught by the Center’s personal trainer, who has 20 plus years of experience working with individuals ranging from special populations (orthopedic and neurological disorders) to high-level athletes. The course includes a goal-oriented fitness program based on each student’s individual needs.

All students wishing to enroll in a fitness course must submit a completed application for admission to the Student Services Office. If an individual is interested in enrolling in a fitness-related course only, s/he has the option of applying as a non-degree student. This will allow the student quick access to the fitness courses.
