Students Logging Into Moodle

 

Moodle Orientation Students

You will not be allowed access to your other internet courses until you successfully complete CIS 129 Moodle Orientation.  If you have not completed CIS 129, you are getting behind in your other courses.  CIS 129 MUST be completed by
January 23, 2009.

 Your Moodle Username is your first name and your last name all small letters with no spaces between the names.  For example, the Moodle Username for a student named John Smith would be johnsmith. 

 Your password is your Student Identification Number that is randomly generated by the College.  This identification number can be found on your student schedule under your name.  The Student Identification Number begins with the first two letters of your last name capitalized and is followed by seven random digits.

With the help of modern technology Mesalands Community College is opening doors for students far beyond the Tucumcari campus.  Distance Education courses from Mesalands Community College are delivered using the most innovative, cutting edge technology and methods available including:

  • Online courses using Moodle through the Internet

  • Telecourses via Mesalands Telecommunication Network, Channel 96 in Tucumcari

  • Video College (VHS tapes or DVD's viewed at home)

  • Digital Interactive Television (DITV)

Whether you're just getting started on your college degree, changing careers or finishing up a degree, Distance Learning makes education possible anytime and anywhere.  Even though you may be located miles away from the main campus, or if you are a student whose schedule and lifestyle require more flexible methods of instruction, you are an important part of Mesalands Community College.  We want to provide you with the same valuable information and services that our traditional, on-campus students receive.
